BRING BACK THE STREETS IN FOOTBALL GAMES

Next gen gaming been out since when? Like 5 years right?  You think that in 5 years Madden would bring back a game like NFL street back into our lives. Remember back in the day how popular the NFL Street series was for us? It was so dooooooooope, yes I spelled dope like that, but anyway, the NFL Street games were very fun to play. It gave us a break from the real football simulation games and just have fun doing illegal tackles and jumping off freaking walls.

Why does EA not think about bringing a game like that back to the market? It’s definitely room for it since Madden is the only football video game on the market right now, it would make so much sense to bring it back even if they don’t want to make it a series. It was just so fun when you had to create your player, give him a nickname, gear him up with street clothes, football gloves, jewelry, and etc. Then playing football in parking lots, backyards, and other rugged environments just give you a different feel than playing at a stadium all the time. Also the different game modes like money in the bank, they play elimination game, and going to a set score was just so awesome. EA needs to drop a game like this ASAP, give us a break from Madden…….. PLEASE.

IMPROVING MUT & DRAFT CHAMPIONS FOR MADDEN

For my Madden heads who play madden all day everyday, we all know the two game modes that dominate on Madden, and that is MUT and Draft Champions. Me personally, I enjoy Draft Champions better, I like the pressure of how wise you got to be when drafting players to fit your style of play rather than just getting a 90+ overall player at every position. I have ideas that I think will improve MUT and Draft Champions for the future Madden games.

MUT

For MUT, its a great mode within itself, I do like the grind for certain cards you want and you can always grab a steal in auction house to help your team out. I also love the season mode they have for MUT, its pressure on you every single game of the season. Losing early can cost you not to make the playoffs, and you can go undefeated and lose the first round of the playoffs, you got to love MUT season mode. Its only a few things I think will improve MUT. One is being more customization for your team, you can come up with your team name but that’s about it. It would be dope if you collect enough item cards and player cards that you can create your own jersey, logo, and stadium. Something similar to how MyTeam is on NBA 2k. With all the grinding for item cards, certain players, and all that, it would be the ultimate reward to fully customize your team.

DRAFT CHAMPIONS

Personally my favorite mode in Madden, Draft Champions test ability to draft smart so you can develop a well balanced team to compete. I also love the fact that I know I’m not going to be playing every game against a team with 99 overalls across the board.  Playing DC gives  that suspense of finding where is the weakness located on the opposing team. Now DC can use some improvements expand the mode. I would love to see a season mode for DC, similar to season mode for MUT. Also to put more pressure on us, I want DC to give us a choice to chose our own head coach, and let us have three choices to pick which offensive and defensive playbook we would want to use . That would be dope.

PUT RUSSELL WESTBROOK ON THE COVER OF 2K18 RIGHT NOW!!!!

I mean like really, who else deserves to be on NBA 2k18 more than Russell Westbrook. The man is having one of the greatest regular seasons ever, averaging a triple double, and on the verge of completing the most triple doubles ever in a season. No doubt he is going to win the MVP of this season. Why wouldn’t he, you name a 6’3 point guard who can get you 31 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assist a game……. I’ll wait. If he doesn’t win the MVP award then I’m suing the NBA, lol I’m kidding, but it just make sense for him to be on the cover of NBA 2k18. He is one of the top 5 players in the league, he is a very popular and marketable NBA player so 2k shouldn’t have a hard time figuring out the next cover athlete for this year’s 2k basketball game.

Messed Around and got a Double Double

 

Is it rare to get a double double in my park ? Yeah, I think so. I don’t think ever in my MyPark career I seen some, especially a big man get a double double. If you haven’t witness it then look no further for I have accomplished probably what few 2k players have accomplished on MyPark. Oh and I’m a 6’9 glass cleaner by the way. TOP 5 PLAYERS WHO SHOULD BE ON THE COVER OF MADDEN 18

Madden 18 is a few months away and we are still waiting and wondering who is going to be on the cover. With that being said I have 5 players who I think needs to be on the cover.

Matt Ryan

Ok, I’m a big Falcons fan, but Matt Ryan had a MVP season and he really put himself up there with the top tier quarterbacks of the NFL. Oh by the way, he led his team to the super bowl.

Julio Jones

OK OK OK, I know this is another Falcons player, but Julio is a special type of player and he is arguably the best receiver in the NFL. With another Pro Bowl season, going into his first Super Bowl, and one of the most popular players in the NFL, I can see many people voting for him to be on the cover.

Antonio Brown

I mean who doesn’t like Antonio Brown besides the Ravens lol. One of the most electrifying players in the NFL, he is more deserving to be on the cover of Madden 18.

Tom Brady

Sigh, I hate they beat the Falcons in the Super Bowl, and who likes the Patriots anyway, but Brady showed us why he is the man this past season. With him missing 4 games, he still came back and put up a beast season, lead his team back to the playoffs and (takes shot) beat my Falcons to win his 5th ring. To be real though, who wanna see another Patriot on a Madden cover, especially in back to back years.

Ezekiel Elliott

I hate the Cowgirls, I mean Cowboys, but I got to give credit where its due. Elliott was a beast as a rookie this past season and he definitely showed the NFL that he was no scrub. Leading the NFL in rushing as a rookie, he  has made his case for him being on the cover of Madden 18.

3 THINGS I WANNA SEE ON NBA 2K18 MYPARK

Yeah, yeah, yeah I know I did a blog on saying 2k should kill myPark  and I still stand behind it, but I know deep down that myPark will be on NBA 2k18. So with that being said, if myPark is coming back, unfortunately, there are 3 things I want to see if y’all going to be seeing me on myPark.

KILL PLAYING WITH MASCOTS

Yes I know some people love playing with mascots on myPark, but me personally, I hate it. I feel like it’s too cheesy and just feel like they have an advantage because they are big and have big heads. I think playing with mascots should be a separate mode within the game. MyPark that street element to NBA 2k, and last time i checked street ball didnt have mascots crossing people like Iverson and grabbing rebounds like Charles Barkley.

A DEDICATED MYPLAYER FOR MYPARK

I know a lot of 2k heads want this for NBA 2k18. We want a player we can create outside of myCareer that we can use strictly for myPark/ProAm. I’m tired of having to go to myCareer just to load into myPark or ProAm. I also hate that I have to play myCareer to level up enough just to take him to myPark(yes I know you can just buy VC). They should make it where you can also earn badges by playing myPark or ProAm games and not just earning badges through myCareer.

DON’T BE CHEAP ON MYPARK VC

Why does myPark be so cheap on how we earn VC ? If you have a good game and a A+ teammate grade you still earning like 300 VC, and thats not cool. They should have it like if you have a B-, B, B+ teammate grade you should earn 500 VC automatically, and if you earn an A-, A, A+ teammate grade you should earn 1000 VC. Each time you score, rebound, assist, steal, and block, that should be 100 VC per stat. Also if you win that should be 1000 VC and if you go on a win streak, all VC earned should be doubled.

All in all, let these features be on the next myPark for 2k18, if not, expect another blog about why they should do away with myPark. Cheers.

 

Bring Team-Up Back to Madden

Sigh, remember on Madden 25 they had a 3v3 team up mode ? Yeahhhhhh, they need to bring that back asap. That was a great mode that gave a different way of playing online against others. I loved the idea that you could team up with your friends and go destroy other players online together. I really hope they bring that mode back for because team up is really an underrated mode on sports video games. Team up can be real fun to play and get REAL competitive as well.

If Madden does come back out with that mode and hopefully they do, I feel like to take things to the next level for Madden they should add a ranking system in 3v3 team up mode. The ranking system would track your stats and grade how you play at each offensive and defensive position. They should also do pick up games where you play with random people and also ranked games where you can come solo or with your friends and each rank game will calculate your wins or loses, stats, and teammate grades. What will really be dope is if you can do a 3v3 online franchise mode. Imagine you and your two friends picked a specific NFL team and you had to play the teams on your schedule that has 3 online players playing with them, you would go through a whole season, play and win through the playoffs and peep this, you and your friends would play three other players for a Super Bowl. Sounds dope right ? Yeah, I’ll leave you with that thought.

Esports League: The Future of 2k ???

Most of y’all know that NBA 2k will debut an esports league that is going to be operated by the NBA for NBA 2k18. The esports league will consist of participating NBA teams having 5 players (us gamers) that they will draft and play for that NBA team. It’s been said that the league will run just like a NBA season and also have playoffs and a NBA Finals as well. All of this sounds real dope for the 2k franchise and im very excited about this new feature.

Now, I have some speculations about how 2k and the NBA will go about operating this league. My main concern is what will be the qualifications to even get yourself in the draft pool ? Do you have to be in the top rankings of MyPark to be considered in the draft ? Will they look at your ProAm record and stats to be eligible for the draft ? We will know in due time I guess. This leads to my next question, will you be playing with the NBA player of that team ? Or will you be playing with your own player ? I’m praying we get to play with our own player. I mean who really wants to play with anyone on the Brooklyn Nets team for a whole season. Now as far as the league goes, will the selected players be playing 82 games like a real NBA season? Will it be where you have to go to a specific location or like a game studio to play your scheduled games, or will you be playing from home ? There is a lot of answers we are seeking about this esports league that we shall know in due time.

With this new feature coming into 2k, will this be a feature for now and the upcoming years for 2k ? I really hope so. It’s been said that the players that will be in the league will be getting paid to play those games. I know we all want to know will it be by salary or hourly and how much lol ? If this league feature is in it for the long run, how do y’all think this  will effect the future of not just 2k, but even the how we go about playing 2k. Will you be the casual 2k gamer that will play the game just to enjoy the existing features and modes of the game ? Will you be more of a competitive 2k gamer that will go into every future 2k game trying to be one of the players that gets to participate in the esports league? We will see.

2k SHOULD KILL MYPARK!!!

Yes I know kill is a strong word, but that should let you know how deep my frustration is with MyPark. From the messy inconsistent servers, to the annoying players playing with mascots, to the epic fail of MyPark after dark, and to the cheesy players you MyPark cards, MyPark is a mode I feel that 2k should do away with.

Personally, I feel that they should enhance their Pro Am mode. They should keep the scrimmage aspect and how you can create a Pro Am team and play against other Pro Am teams, but give another side to Pro Am. They should do like a Pro Am circuit or like a Pro Am street mode where you can take your player and can play 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, or 5v5 on notorious basketball courts from Venice Beach, to popular rec ball centers, or to the infamous Rucker Park. Players should have that freedom to play at those infamous courts to develop their skills, rep, and gear. Putting a mode like that in the NBA 2k games to come will really take their multiplayer experience to the next level.
